I’m off to my Grandparents house for 2 1/2 weeks so things will be quiet here for awhile.  It’s about 2 in the morning right now and I just got done packing and getting everything ready to go. Yes, I’m one of those last minute packers=) I put it off till the last minute like always and I stayed up way too late doing it just like always. When will I ever learn?

Well, I’m off to get some Z’s before it’s time to get up and go! Please pray for us to have a safe trip and for our van to behave because it’s been dying on us lately=(

My Mom showed me this adorable picture of a British piglet, Cinderella. And the name fits her perfectly because this little princess refuses to walk through mud without her  “specially adapted Wellington boots.”

Comment Confusion

I just realized that some of you might be having a hard time finding the comment button. Instead of being at the bottom like it usually is, it’s at the top right under the post title. I’m very sorry to all of those who had difficulty with that. I really should have clarified earlier.

Give it all for Christ pt.2~Pick Up Your Cross

” If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” (Matthew 16:24-26)

Notice that Jesus didn’t say “Pick up your cross when it’s convenient for you, then when you get tired or have something else to do just sit it down and come back and get it when you have the time.”  No, he said pick it up and follow me. Jesus’ life was not an easy one, he was mocked, beaten, humiliated, and hung on the cross! But through all that he never sinned, he could have called 10,000 angels, he could have gotten out of the whole thing but instead he endured the painful death on the cross as the last and perfect sacrifice.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:25-27  “Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure.”  Paul went through many persecutions for his faith, but through all of those persecutions he didn’t lose sight of his goal, he never set aside faith to make his life easier or more convenient.

We need to be like Paul when he said in Philippians 1:21“For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”  Christ meant everything to him! His whole life revolved around Jesus! That’s how we need to be, even if means giving up money, a job, a sport, or even a vacation. Following Christ isn’t an thing to do, Jesus never even hinted that it would be easy, he said “For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” (Matthew 7:14).

So, yes we will have to face many hard things from this world that might seem overwhelming and unfair at the time, but we have so many advantages  that this world doesn’t have. We have a living God who loves us and to whom we can go  and lean on when we’re tired and worn out, a Savior who has paid the price for our sins, and the hope and assurance of Heaven. All these blessings far out weigh the hardships we might have to endure.

McDonald’s Boycott

My family and I have been boycotting McDonald’s for awhile now but AFA has recently made an official boycott that you can check out here.

It’s so sad to see what used to be a God fearing country; a country that was one nation under God,  even thinking about supporting and participating in such evil things! God says over and over in His Word how these things disgust Him! And they should disgust us too.

We need to pray for these people. Pray that God will soften their hearts and open their eyes to His truth. Please help get the word out so that we Christians can join together and take action.
